Resources and Results Framework

How do we monitor and set targets for our program?
The RDP results framework forms the basis of measurement of results and programme performance, whilst articulating the strategic direction for RP in the next few years. Baseline values determined at the beginning of the year 2022 form the basis for all progress measurement and RPD targets were set recognizing the global targets and achievements defined in various international frameworks.

UNDP has a well-developed and robust risk management policy that is supported by an organisational wide enterprise risk management system and is undertaking a review of its approach to risk management.

The Regional Programme

The Centre implements a continent-wide Regional Programme supporting Africa’s transformation agenda by:

  1. enhancing an inclusive and sustainable growth,
  2. widening political participation and giving everyone a voice, and
  3. developing responsive institutions which deliver desired services and promote inclusive processes of state-society dialogue.

The work builds on UNDP’s expertise in development thinking and practice and decades of experience working at the country and global levels. 

As a strategic programmatic thought leadership, the Regional Programme operates as an integrated continental mechanism that coordinates regional, sub-regional and country development planning for greater effectiveness and results. With almost 200 partners from the private sector, intergovernmental organizations, UN agencies, non-governmental organizations, academia, sub-regional institutions and donors, the Regional Program supports more than 30 projects across Africa. Against the backdrop of Agenda 2063 and Agenda 2030, the Regional Programme (2022 – 2025) acts as a regional catalyst and incubator for people, prosperity, planet and peace, in alignment with the UNDP’s Strategic Plan 2022-2025 and RBA’s Strategic Offer for Africa 2022-2025.
